Elmira College Class of 1978

The boat was built by John "Johnny Mac" McHugh.

The purpose is to honor those of our classmates and EC friends who are no longer with us.

Early on Sunday morning at each reunion, the boat is launched and the names of those no longer with us, in body,  are read. Then the alma mater is sung by those in attendance. It is not a long ceremony, but it is important to us that we honor our own.

This has been a tradition of the class of 1978 for over ten years.
